A custom POS integration for Tuinplantenwinkel.nl cut checkout staffing in half and eliminated price inconsistencies between physical and online store.
The Challenge
Tuinplantenwinkel.nl is a family business selling garden plants and trees. Their checkout relied on manual product entry — every item typed in by a cashier. With long queues in high season, it took two staff members to keep the till moving.
Price inconsistencies between the physical store and webshop caused billing errors, especially for B2B clients. Lightspeed Retail was in place, but it couldn't handle the specific needs of a plant nursery: waterproof labels with care instructions, accurate B2B pricing, and a checkout flow that matched how plants are actually sold.
